Igloo (2024)
Anticipation is building for Ira and Sadie. How can they build an igloo if there isn’t any snow? They need it to snow. They want it to snow.
But sometimes you don’t get what you want, even when you’re made to wait…
and wait…
and wait…
Sometimes what you end up with is something even better…
Originally a co-production with Bristol Old Vic, Igloo is a non-verbal, playful experience filled with warmth, sensation and gentle exploration, depicting a multi-racial family, with two siblings, waiting for it to snow.
From 30 January – 21 February 2024 we toured Igloo – our show for the very youngest theatre goers (0-3 year olds) – to early years and community settings in Bristol and around the South-West.

Additional Information
-
We remounted Igloo in response to a direct need from local nurseries and community partners for an accessible, non-verbal production for early years. Nurseries and children’s centres told us that they cannot afford to take children on a theatre trip or to bring creative practitioners in to support them with creative play. The tour was designed to reach areas where children would not otherwise access the arts, both through community performances that were open to families, and engaging directly with children in their early years settings.
